The First Step to Understanding The Quran

This foundational course is designed to equip students with the skills to read, write, speak, and comprehend the Arabic language. Emphasis is placed on Arabic grammar (Naḥw) and morphology (Ṣarf), while steadily building vocabulary and fluency.

The Arabic language has always been the key to accessing the Islamic sciences. This course lays the groundwork for students who wish to engage with classical texts and Qur’anic Arabic with confidence.

This is a two-year part-time course.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be above the age of 15 (exceptions may be made through assessment).
Basic ability to read Arabic script (e.g., Qur’anic reading)
A genuine commitment to learning and progressing in the Arabic language

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will:

Have an intermediate-level understanding of Arabic grammar, syntax, and morphology
Be able to read and understand Arabic texts with the aid of a dictionary or teacher
Develop the ability to hold conversations on a wide range of everyday topics

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be awarded with a diploma in Arabic Intensive. This accreditation will allow the learners to enrol onto our Comprehensive Islamic Studies course.

Sisters: 6:15pm – 8-45pm
Brothers: 6:45pm – 9:30pm

Learners must be available for occasional seminars on weekends arranged with prior notice.

Fees for the academic year is £840*.

This can be paid:

Annually: With a onetime payment of £840
Termly: With four payments of £210 to be paid on the first day of the term
Monthly: With twelve payments of £70 to be paid on the first Monday of each calendar month
