A Deep Dive into the Core Islamic Sciences through Classical Texts

This course forms the second stage of the Alimiyyah Programme and is designed to provide learners with a broad, structured, and in-depth understanding of the core Islamic sciences. Centred around classical Arabic texts, the course covers: Complete Qur’an translation, Hadith studies and thematic analysis, Islamic law (Fiqh) across various chapters, Islamic theology (‘Aqīdah) and belief, Principles and methodologies behind the tradition, including Uṣūl al-Fiqh, Uṣūl al-Ḥadīth, and Uṣūl al-Tafsīr.

Students will not only learn content, but also how Islamic knowledge is derived and applied, building both understanding and critical insight.

This part-time course is delivered over:
• 2 academic years for female students
• 3 academic years for male students

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have completed the Arabic Intensive study course or similar.
Applicants must be able to dedicate to the course learning hours and be passionate about studying the Islamic sciences.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will:

Be able to translate the Qur’an and Ahadith
Access and understand a wide range of Arabic Islamic texts
Have foundational knowledge of Islamic creed and theology
Be grounded in the methodologies of Islamic jurisprudence, tafsīr, and hadith classification
Develop the skills and confidence to contribute to the community as khatībs, teachers, or mentors

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be awarded with a diploma in Comprehensive Islamic Studies. This accreditation will allow learners to enrol onto our Advanced Islamic Scholarship course.

Learners must be available for occasional seminars on weekends arranged with prior notice.

Fees for the academic year is £900*.

This can be paid:

Annually: With a onetime payment of £900
Termly: With four payments of £225 to be paid on the first day of the term
Monthly: With twelve payments of £75 to be paid on the first Monday of each calendar month
