This is the final stage of the Alimiyyah Programme, designed for students seeking in-depth, advanced study of the classical Islamic sciences. Learners engage in a detailed study of the Qur’an (Tafsīr) and Hadith literature, including the six canonical books of Hadith (Al-Kutub al-Sittah).
The course also emphasizes comparative law, exploring evidences and arguments across the different Madhāhib (schools of thought), preparing students to apply traditional scholarship to contemporary issues with wisdom and insight.
This part-time course is delivered over:
• 2 academic years for female students
• 3 academic years for male students

Entry Requirements
- Completion of the Comprehensive Islamic Studies course (or equivalent)
- Commitment to dedicate regular study hours
- Passion for advanced, in-depth Islamic scholarship
- Qur’anic Exegesis (Tafsīr)
- Hadith Studies (including Al-Kutub al-Sittah)
- Comparative Law across Madhāhib
- Principles of Hadith (Uṣūl al-Ḥadīth)
- Principles of Islamic Law (Uṣūl al-Fiqh)
- Islamic Creed & Theology (‘Aqīdah)
- Skills & Training for leadership, teaching, and public engagement
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will:
- Possess detailed knowledge of Tafsīr and Hadith studies
- Have a strong understanding of evidences and arguments in Islamic law
- Be prepared to navigate modern challenges with a grounded, scholarly approach
- Be equipped to serve as Imams, teachers, and community leaders
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Certificate in Advanced Islamic Scholarship, along with the Shahādah al-Alimiyyah (Licence in Islamic Scholarship), recognising their achievement in classical Islamic scholarship.

Sisters: 6:15pm – 8-45pm
Brothers: 6:45pm – 9:30pm
Learners must be available for occasional seminars on weekends arranged with prior notice.
Fees for the academic year is £900*.
This can be paid:
- Annually: With a onetime payment of £900
- Termly: With four payments of £225 to be paid on the first day of the term
- Monthly: With twelve payments of £75 to be paid on the first Monday of each calendar month
